What is JaHiKi-bears?
JaHiKi-bears stands for the bear manufacturing of Marij de Groot. Marij is JaHiKi-bears and JaHiKi-bears is Marij de Groot. Marij designs and manufactures her bears herself.

History
Her love for bears began since 1989, when she received a play box with a teddy bear for her birthday. After that she collected many bear play boxes and English Colourbox-bears. Until she discovered the world of the real hand-made teddy bears at the big bear exchange of the Amerongen castle in 1996. This was it! Marij visited bear exchanges in the Netherlands and teddy bear shops in England. Collecting teddy bears had begun, fanatical and critical. From a few years on, Marij manufactures teddy’s herself: careful at first, now with confidence because of the many reactions.

What is a JaHiKi-bear?

A JaHiKi-bear
  • Is a real teddy bear, manufactured out of English and German tradition;
  • Is no copy of other famous bears;
  • Is of high quality; it is solid handcraft;
  • Details are important: special buttons, clothing materials and shoes;
  • Has an own, personal appearance;
  • Has to be a unique copy for collectors.

    Adoption
    In the beginning Marij only made bears for herself. But in the meanwhile Marij has made so many bears, that her house has become too small for this. Because of the many positive responses she decided to propose the JaHiKi-bears for adoption. Every teddy bear fancier can adopt a JaHiKi-bear.
